Higgins Hardwoods, as a large service distributor, offers a full range of sizes and specifications of MDF, Particle Board, and Melamine.

MDF is commonly used to make display cabinets, wall-panels and storage units. It can be painted to produce a smooth quality surface. It can be cut, drilled, machined and filed without damaging the surface.

As an engineered wood product, Particle Board is manufactured from wood particles, such as wood chips, sawmill shavings, or even saw dust, and a synthetic resin or other suitable binder, which is pressed and extruded.

Melamine particle board is a material commonly found in inexpensive, pre-made furniture. While melamine has been in use for a while it remains an inexpensive and fairly durable way to add colors or patterns to furniture.
