Koa has built-in, deep-seated luster that woods of lesser value do not.

Grades: #1 Common & SEL & BTR - KD
Thickness & Finishes: 1 & 2" Rough
Widths: 6" & wider random - average 9"
Lengths: 8' - 16' random - average 12'
Grains: Highly figured with uniform texture
Colors: Considerable variation from light to medium brown, with distinct golden sheen, sometimes with irregularly darker streaks.
Misc. Information: Similar to soft-textured OAK in density, but is easy to work. Alternative: California Walnut or Coco Bolo.
