Columbia Forest Products is North America's largest manufacturer of hardwood veneer, hardwood plywood and laminated products. Sold through a network of wholesale distributors, mass merchandisers and major OEMs, Columbia Forest Products' decorative, interior veneers and panels are used in high-end cabinetry, fine furniture, architectural millwork and commercial fixtures.

The origins of the company date back to 1957 with its first hardwood plywood plant in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Columbia Forest Products' current financial structure was organized in 1976, and two hardwood veneer plants in the Northeast were added. The next two decades were marked by steady growth and expansion. An employee-owned company, Columbia Forest Products currently manufactures products in 20 facilities throughout the United States and Canada.

Replacing traditional urea formaldehyde (UF) hardwood plywood construction with non-toxic, soy-based PureBond® enables Columbia to eliminate any added formaldehyde from standard veneer-core and non-UF composite hardwood plywood core panels. JayCore® and KayCore®

JayCore® and KayCore® premium veneer core hardwood plywood from Columbia Forest Products are produced domestically on PureBond® formaldehyde-free veneer core platforms and carefully monitored for a controlled thickness range.

JayCore® and KayCore® panels are the perfect choice for cabinetry and furniture manufacturers who want nothing less than the best in "all wood" hardwood plywood.

Classic Core®

You can't see it on the surface, but it's in every panel in Columbia Forest Product's Classic Core® product line. Classic Core offers a voidless, engineered MDF composite crossband in a proprietary construction that adds an extra dimension to Columbia's veneer core hardwood plywood.

MDF crossbands when combined with inner plies of veneer core provide the smoothness of a composite core substrate with the lighter weight and strength of veneer core. Classic core machines and laminates beautifully so it's ideal for high profile applications including furniture, cabinetry and fixtures.

UV Wood

The unparalleled quality and versatililty of UV Wood are characteristics that manufacturers absolutely love. Why? First of all, it increases productivity. With less surface to finish, workers are able to efficiently spend their time on other tasks. And since increasing productivity also increases profit, they'll love it even more.

They'll love its toughness. It resists scratches, chips and the effects of solvent wipe down. Plus, UV Wood is available in satin, medium and high gloss, can be finished on one or two sides, and is available on any core, grade and species combination. It's perfect for kitchen cabinets, store fixtures, or anywhere a durable, clear finish is required.
